Kherson — More than 1,500 guests and residents of southern Ukrainian Kherson gathered to celebrate Bible Day. Chernihiv – Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has upheld the appeal of the Youth National Congress (YNC) regarding the illegal actions of police in northern Ukrainian Chernihiv. Members of the YNC were detained by the police during an attempt to clear the entrance of St. Catherine’s Church on 5 September. The newspaper “Youth Truth” reported on 30 October 2006.

Moscow – Over the last three days, the office of the Russian United Union of Christians of the Evangelical Faith-Pentecostals (RUUCEF-P) in Moscow has received dozens of letters and phone calls asking why the church’s head, Bishop Sergei Ryakhovsky, was not allowed to enter Ukraine for a 27-29 October conference in Kyiv. Rivne — More than 100 delegates from throughout Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, and the U.S. gathered in northwestern Ukrainian Rivne from 19 to 22 October 2006 for the First All-Ukraine Conference of the Deaf and Sign-Language Translators. Among the participants was Bishop Viktor Boryshkevych, senior pastor in the Rivne Region and Western Area of the All-Ukraine Union of Christians of the Evangelical Faith-Pentecostals.
