Ternopil — The Roman Catholic order of the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception won a second case at the Economic Court in western Ukrainian Ternopil. The village council in Yazlovets, Buchach District, did not want to recognize the nuns’ property rights to a local monastery building, as the court decided on 21 January 2008, and so the council opened a new case, which it has lost. Kyiv — Fr. Yosafat Oleh Hovera, a priest of the Ternopil-Zboriv Eparchy and newly nominated exarch of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) of Volyn, will be ordained on 7 April 2008, on the Feast of Annunciation of the Holy Mother of God at the cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Ternopil. According to Bishop Vasyl Semeniuk of the Ternopil and Zboriv UGCC Eparchy, fr. Yosefat will be ordained by UGCC head Lubomyr Husar with the assistance of Bishops Vasylii Semeniuk and Bishop Pavlo Khomnytskyi of the Stemford Eparchy of the USA.
